The membership fees cover our state PTA fees and some administrative costs, such as insurance, but membership does not contribute towards our fundraising.
We will be having only one fundraising event this year- a pledge drive. You can donate now, or wait for the PTSA envelope to come home with your child.
The bulk of the fundraising goes towards enrichment grants for the teachers of SMS. In previous years we have funded; 6th grade Time Magazines, books for classrooms, computer headsets for 40 with microphone, a Shakespeare Workshop and a cart for science equipment. So please help us to enrich your students learning experience by donating, we are hoping for $30 per SMS family, many thanks from the PTSA Board.
